How It Works

How it works

Nova & You provides convenient direct-to-consumer laboratory testing. You can order your lab tests online without visiting a doctor first and get results sent directly to your patient portal. All laboratory orders are reviewed and authorized by a licensed clinician as required by law.

Step 1

Browse available tests and panels. Add your selected tests to your shopping cart.

Step 2

Securely purchase your selected tests using a credit or debit card. A clinician reviewing fee is included with each lab order to cover clinician review and authorization.

Step 3

Submit your samples by either utilizing the provided Self-Collection Kit, scheduling Mobile Phlebotomy service to come to your home/office (additional fees may apply), or by visiting one of our Patient Service Centers to have our professional phlebotomists collect your blood samples.

Step 4

View results online within your patient portal.

Shopping for Tests

You are able to add tests and/or bundles to your shopping cart from both the directory as well as the individual test pages.

If you are ordering a test that requires bloodwork and you would prefer to have a phlebotomist come to your home/office, you can do that via the link provided in the Order Approval email (additional fees may apply).

Please note: In case your shopping cart contains duplicate tests, you will have the option of keeping your original test in the cart or replacing it with the new test.

Purchasing Tests

Before checkout, you will have to sign into your patient portal or create a portal account. Creating an account is how you will connect and view your results. After creating an account, you can pay for your shopping cart with a credit card.

You will be asked to provide your shipping address for the collection kit. Once the purchase is complete, you will receive an order confirmation email. Upon approval of the order by the physician, you will receive another email with the tracking number for the collection kit and descriptions of different options for samples collection.

Appearing for Tests

Depending on your purchased tests, your order approval email will contain a link, to schedule a blood sample collection by a professional phlebotomist. Using the provided link, you can choose a location where you can go for your blood sample collection or schedule a mobile phlebotomist (additional fee may apply) to come to you and collect your blood samples. Please make sure you have received the collection kit prior to scheduling your appointment.

If you ordered a self-collection test(s), please follow the instructions in the provided kit and send your sample using the enclosed pre-paid label.

Accessing Your Results

You will receive an email to alert you once your test results are available to access within your patient portal account. In the case a test result requires timely attention, a lab representative will reach out to you via phone, make sure you provide a valid phone number. You are responsible for communicating these results to your primary care physician.
